Mumbai, July 30 -- The Bombay High Court has restrained media organisations and digital platforms from portraying the iconic Bandra bungalow 'Aashirwad', once owned by late Bollywood actor Rajesh Khanna, as "haunted", "cursed" or "inauspicious", observing that such publications are prima facie defamatory and violate the owner's right to live with dignity.

In an interim order passed on July 24, Justice Arif S. Doctor granted relief to the bungalow's present owner, businessman Shashi Shetty, who alleged that several articles, videos and online posts continued to describe the property as haunted despite the original structure having been demolished and replaced by a new residence.
