HBO confirms Danny Ramirez will not return for season 3 of 'The Last of Us'

Washington, Dec. 31 -- Danny Ramirez will not return as a lead in 'The Last of Us' season 3, Deadline reports.

The actor, who played Manny Alvarez alongside Kaitlyn Dever in four episodes of Season 2, has dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.

HBO's hit adaptation of the video game, co-created and directed by Neil Druckmann, was renewed for a third season even before the second season premiered last April.

Season 2's finale hinted that Season 3 would revisit three intense days, this time from Abby's (Kaitlyn Dever) perspective.
