Hazaribagh, Jan. 23 -- Hazaribagh district police achieved a major breakthrough in their ongoing campaign against drug trafficking with the seizure of 20.5 kilograms of opium from the Lohsinghna police station area.
The operation was carried out on January 22, 2026, in the Kolgati locality, following specific intelligence inputs about the movement of narcotics in the area.
According to police sources, a confidential tip-off revealed that three persons were transporting suspected contraband on a white Apache motorcycle. Acting swiftly, a special team led by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Sadar), Hazaribagh, conducted a checking drive near Malti Mod.
