Gorakhpur (UP), Jan. 3 -- The local police have uncovered several crucial leads pointing toward a possible hawala network after seizing Rs 5 million in suspected cash from Rajeev Jaiswal on Railway Station Road.

During interrogation, the accused revealed that this was not his first such cash trip. He had earlier transported large sums from Gorakhpur to Pharenda (district Maharajganj) on three occasions.

According to Jaiswal, he was paid a commission of Rs 5,000 for each delivery. He stated that he would hand over the cash to an unidentified person near Pharenda railway station and then return to Dumariyaganj by bus.
