Chandigarh, March 13 -- The Haryana State Commission for Women on Friday directed police to arrest Bollywood rapper Badshah after he failed to appear before the panel which had issued statutory summons.
Chairperson Renu Bhatia directed the Superintendents of Police (SP) in Panipat and Panchkula to take the singer into custody and seize his passport to prevent him from leaving the country. The Commission has formally submitted a written complaint to the Panipat police, seeking the registration of a case against the artist for defying statutory summons.
The controversy involves Badshah's recent track 'Tatiri,' which has been flagged for its allegedly obscene lyrics and the objectification of women in its music video.
