Panchkula, Oct. 22 -- The Haryana government has decided to increase the pay of eligible stenotypists, with junior clerks receiving higher salaries after additional increments, subject to applicable rules.
In a memorandum, the Finance Department referred to its June 30, 2026, circular that granted additional increments only to clerks.
The department said implementing the increments could cause a junior clerk to earn more than a stenotypist, even when both share the same seniority.
To address such disparities, the government has decided to increase the pay of the affected stenotypists in accordance with the rules.
