Panchkula, July 28 -- Expanding access to higher education for women, the Haryana Government has approved the commencement of academic activities at a new Government Girls College in Panipat city from the 2026-27 academic session, with classes set to begin from a temporary campus until a permanent college building is completed.
According to an order issued by the Higher Education Department, the state government has decided to operationalise the college immediately to ensure that girl students from Panipat and surrounding areas do not have to wait for the construction of a permanent campus before pursuing higher education.
