Panchkula, June 24 -- Haryana Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Rajesh Nagar on Wednesday directed officials to expedite the process of opening 4,000 new ration depots across the state, in line with Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's budget announcement, while also calling for stricter monitoring of the Public Distribution System (PDS) to ensure seamless delivery of subsidised foodgrains to beneficiaries.
Chairing a review meeting with District Food and Supplies Controllers through video conferencing, Nagar said the expansion of the ration depot network is aimed at improving accessibility and strengthening food security for eligible families across Haryana.
