Panchkula, June 24 -- Haryana Health Minister and President of the Para Sports Association of Haryana, Aarti Singh Rao, has announced that medal winners of the Para Powerlifting Championship held in January 2026 will soon be honoured at a special felicitation ceremony.
Chairing a meeting of the Para Sports Association of Haryana in Chandigarh on Wednesday, Rao said that athletes who won gold, silver and bronze medals in the championship deserve recognition for their achievements and contribution to the growth of para sports in the state.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the constitution of a new governing body of the association following the completion of its three-year tenure.
