Chandigarh, Oct. 24 -- The Haryana government will distribute approximately Rs 185 crore in cash awards among 171 athletes associated with the 2026 Asian Games and Asian Para Games during a state-level felicitation ceremony at Bhim Stadium in Bhiwani on October 30.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will present the awards, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister of State Gaurav Gautam announced on Saturday.
Gautam said 134 athletes associated with the Asian Games would receive approximately Rs 133 crore, while Rs 52 crore would be distributed among 37 para-athletes.
According to the state government's figures, Haryana athletes contributed 32 medals to India's tally at the Asian Games, including 14 gold, nine silver and nine bronze medals.
