Panchkula, June 26 -- Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij on Friday asserted that the state government has intensified its crackdown on organised crime, claiming that several gangsters have been traced overseas and brought back to India as part of the state's sustained drive against criminals.

Responding to questions from reporters on recent police encounters involving criminals in Haryana, Vij said the government was committed to dismantling criminal networks and ensuring that offenders could not evade the law by fleeing abroad.
