Panchkula, Sept. 11 -- Haryana on Friday signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar in the presence of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini to modernise technical education, strengthen industry linkages and equip students with skills in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, electric vehicles, robotics and drone technology.

The tie-up marks a significant attempt by the Haryana government to bridge the gap between conventional technical education and rapidly changing industry requirements, with IIT Ropar set to provide technical expertise for upgrading laboratories, developing Centres of Excellence and strengthening faculty and student capabilities....
