Chandigarh, Nov. 4 -- A 19-year-old Class 12 student was found dead at his home in Haryana's Panipat district on Wednesday, hours after an apparent dispute with his girlfriend over birthday messages, police and family members said.
The student, identified as Lakshya, had exchanged messages with his girlfriend shortly after midnight before sending a series of distressing messages to a female relative, including statements suggesting he intended to end his life, according to his family.
Police said they were examining the circumstances surrounding the death and had received a complaint from the family.
