Panchkula, Aug. 9 -- Haryana has stepped up its offensive against the drug trade by targeting not just narcotics traffickers but also the wealth allegedly created through their illegal business, with Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini saying on Sunday that around Rs 53 crore worth of illegal assets have been seized and 111 properties acquired through illicit means demolished so far.
Saini delivered a stern warning to drug traffickers, declaring that hardened criminals in the narcotics trade would face unwavering action and the crackdown on their illicit fortunes would press on.
