Chandigarh, Nov. 5 -- Regular sanitation workers and sewermen employed by Haryana's municipalities will now receive Rs 2,000 per month, or Rs 24,000 annually, as risk allowance instead of the earlier performance-linked annual incentives of Rs 12,000 and Rs 9,000, under a state government order effective from October 29.
"The Government has decided to extend the benefit of risk allowance of Rs 2,000 per month to all the Regular Safai Karamcharis and Sewermen of the municipalities at par with the Palika Roll Safai Karamcharis and Sewermen," the Urban Local Bodies Department said in its order.
The revised arrangement replaces the annual incentives granted under government instructions issued on November 24, 2023, and June 4, 2026.
