Chandigarh, June 10 -- : The Haryana Government has introduced a series of austerity and resource-conservation measures that will remain in force until September 2026, aimed at reducing fuel consumption, cutting public expenditure and promoting sustainable practices across the state.
According to an official communication issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, the decision has been taken in view of global economic uncertainties, including disruptions in supply chains, the Russia-Ukraine conflict and tensions in West Asia, which have impacted fuel prices and imports.
Under the new guidelines, government employees and officials will not be allowed to undertake foreign travel, either official or personal, except for medical treatment. Dep...
