Chandigarh, July 14 -- In a significant administrative decision aimed at boosting the morale of government doctors and strengthening public healthcare, the Haryana government has promoted 38 Medical Officers as Senior Medical Officers (SMOs), ending a long-pending demand of the Haryana Civil Medical Services Association (HCMSA).
According to a government spokesperson, the promotions follow a recent meeting between a high-level delegation of the association and Health Minister Arti Singh Rao, during which the issue of delayed promotions and career progression of Medical Officers was strongly raised.
