Panchkula, Sept. 19 -- Haryana Police have arrested two men in separate drug-trafficking cases in Karnal and recovered 20.345 kg of poppy husk and 1.027 kg of opium from their possession, a Haryana Police spokesperson said on Saturday.
In the first case, a CIA Assandh team arrested Ravinder of Kheri Sarfali village in Assandh and allegedly recovered 20.345 kg of poppy husk from him. A case was registered at Assandh police station under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act. A court remanded him in police custody for four days.
In a separate operation, CIA-1 Karnal arrested Preetpal Singh of Bansa village in Karnal district and allegedly recovered 1.027 kg of opium from his possession, the spokesperson said.
