Panchkula, Sept. 3 -- Haryana Police and the Nuh district administration have launched a late-night crackdown on illegally operated dhabas, hotels and roadside shops along the Delhi-Mumbai-Baroda Expressway, citing serious traffic and road-safety concerns.

The enforcement action was carried out on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday in several areas along the expressway, where unauthorised roadside establishments had allegedly become a major cause of illegal parking and traffic obstruction, police official said.

According to police official Krishan Kumar, several people were operating dhabas, hotels, puncture shops and other commercial establishments either on private land or in rented premises adjoining the expressway. Their a...
