Panchkula, Aug. 17 -- Haryana Police has mounted a massive statewide crackdown on criminals, arresting 4,771 accused in 3,915 cases in just 15 days under Operation Trackdown, launched from August 1 to 15 ahead of Independence Day.

The intensive campaign targeted criminals involved in murder, attempt to murder, robbery, dacoity, extortion, snatching, kidnapping, illegal arms and other organised crimes, sending a strong message that there will be no safe space for habitual and organised offenders in the state.
