Panchkula, July 27 -- Haryana Police has ramped up its offensive against the illegal liquor trade, as Hisar Police stormed an illicit manufacturing unit in Pirawali village and destroyed almost 2,000 litres of fermented lahan, the key ingredient for country liquor.

A Haryana Police spokesperson said the action was carried out by SWAT Team-2 as part of the district-wide special campaign against the manufacture, smuggling and sale of illicit liquor being conducted.
