Panchkula, July 15 -- Haryana Police has intensified its enforcement against traffic violations in Gurugram, issuing 2,671 challans and imposing fines exceeding Rs 25 lakh during June as part of a special drive to improve road safety and ensure greater compliance with traffic rules.
A spokesperson of Haryana Police said that Traffic Police Gurugram issued 1,847 challans against motorists found indulging in triple riding between June 1 and June 30, 2026, imposing fines totaling Rs 18.47 lakh.
The spokesperson said triple riding significantly increases the risk of road accidents and appealed to motorists to strictly follow traffic rules for their own safety and that of other road users.
