Panchkula, Aug. 5 -- Haryana Police assisted a woman in recovering Rs 80,111 lost to credit card fraud through prompt technical action by the Cyber Crime Police Station in Hisar, highlighting the value of immediate reporting in cybercrime cases.
A Haryana Police spokesman stated that the recovery was achieved under the guidance of the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Hisar, as part of ongoing efforts to combat cyber fraud.
The spokesman reported that FIR No. 84/2026 was registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station, Hisar, after Suman, wife of Surender and resident of Indira Colony, Hisar, alleged she was defrauded of Rs 2,70,886 through a credit card scam.
