Panchkula, Aug. 23 -- Haryana Police have challaned 2,184 motorists for overspeeding and imposed fines totalling approximately Rs 43.68 lakh during a 22-day special traffic enforcement drive in Gurugram, a police spokesperson said on Sunday.

The Haryana Police spokesperson said that the Gurugram Traffic Police conducted a campaign against overspeeding from August 1-22 as part of efforts to improve road safety and curb traffic violations.

According to NIC server data, a total of 2,184 motorists were found to be exceeding prescribed speed limits on the Mumbai Expressway, Golf Course Road, and other roads in Gurugram during the campaign.
