Panchkula, Aug. 30 -- Haryana Police have intensified their crackdown on narcotics, arresting three persons in separate operations in Sirsa and Jhajjar and recovering 9.73 kg of poppy husk, 6.099 grams of heroin and 1.035 kg of charas, police said.
A Haryana Police spokesman said two of the arrests has been made by CIA Ellenabad in Sirsa district as part of the special anti-drug campaign being carried out under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Deepak Saharan.
In the first case, a CIA Ellenabad team was patrolling and checking in the Rori area when it noticed a woman sitting along the roadside with a plastic sack. Police said she allegedly attempted to leave after noticing the police vehicle.
