Panchkula, July 12 -- In a major crackdown on illegal gambling, Haryana Police has busted a gambling den operating from a farmhouse in Gurugram and arrested 18 persons allegedly involved in organising and participating in gambling activities.
The spokesman of Haryana Police said that acting on specific information, a team of the Crime Branch, Sector-31, conducted a raid on Golden Leaf Farm at Mahindrawada, Bhondsi, on July 11, where a gambling operation was allegedly being run. During the raid, police apprehended 18 accused from the spot and dismantled the illegal gambling setup.
