Panchkula, July 13 -- The Haryana Police has dealt a major blow to organised cyber fraud networks by arresting 12 accused in seven separate cyber fraud cases involving more than Rs 1.95 crore, a police spokesman said.

According to the spokesman, teams of the Cyber Police Station, NIT Faridabad, carried out coordinated operations on July 12 and arrested accused from Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, exposing networks involved in fake investment schemes, work-from-home frauds, PG rental scams, impersonation and digital payment fraud.

The spokesman said one of the biggest breakthroughs came in a Rs 95.65 lakh share market investment fraud, in which three accused were arrested.
