Panchkula, Sept. 12 -- Haryana Police have busted a cyber fraud racket allegedly targeting foreign nationals using virtual WhatsApp numbers, VPN services and online platforms, arresting two people, including a woman, an official said on Saturday.

The arrested accused were identified as Dinesh, a resident of Dhanothi Chhoti village in Rajasthan's Churu district, and Komal, a resident of Yamunanagar.

Police recovered four mobile phones containing chats with foreign numbers and other digital evidence, as well as a Tata Harrier allegedly used in the operation, the official said.

A case has been registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station, Hisar, under Sections 318(4) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
