Chandigarh, Sept. 1 -- Haryana is on high alert as rising river levels and heavy rainfall threaten widespread flooding. The Ghaggar River in Sirsa, Yamuna in Faridabad, and Markanda in Kurukshetra have reached or crossed danger levels, driven by heavy rains in neighboring Punjab and the Himalayan region, officials said on Sunday.
