Panchkula, Sept. 8 -- The Haryana Government has launched a statewide incentive scheme to promote green manuring, crop diversification, and water conservation. Farmers will receive Rs 1,000 per acre through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department has announced that the Promotion of Crop Diversification and Water Conservation (Green Manuring) scheme will be implemented in all districts of Haryana.

This initiative aims to improve soil health and reduce reliance on conventional farming. According to the department, green manuring adds organic matter, enhances soil structure, increases water retention, and reduces soil erosion.
