Panchkula, Sept. 13 -- Haryana has started following Supreme Court orders to help families of Indian nationals recruited into the Russian Army by setting up a system for DNA identification of the dead, free legal help, and support in making compensation claims to Russian authorities.
The action also covers cases involving Indians who remain missing and those awaiting release and repatriation from Russia.
Bhiwani Deputy Commissioner Sahil Gupta said on Saturday that the district administration had received instructions from the Haryana Chief Secretary's office following the Supreme Court's July 31, 2026 order.
