Chandigarh, Feb. 24 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab launched a scathing attack on Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing them of protecting drug cartels. Addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema alleged that while CM Saini is busy touring Punjab for political gains, his own state has transformed into a hub for drug trafficking. Cheema claimed that historical ties exist between BJP leaders in Haryana and drug smugglers who previously operated in Punjab during the SAD-BJP regime.
