Panchkula, Aug. 7 -- The Haryana Government aims to expand market access for weavers and handicraft workers by providing training and connecting artisans with modern technology, digital markets, and enhanced marketing channels, according to Cabinet Minister Dr Arvind Sharma.

On Weavers' Day, Sharma emphasised the importance of ensuring artisans have access to employment and receive fair compensation for their skills. He noted that the "Vocal for Local" and "Atmanirbhar Bharat" initiatives under Prime Minister Narendra Modi have increased recognition and market opportunities for weavers, handicraft workers, and other traditional artisans.
