Chandigarh, March 23 -- In a significant move to streamline fuel distribution and expand the Piped Natural Gas (PNG) network, the Haryana Government has issued strict guidelines mandating the surrender of domestic Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) connections for consumers who have access to PNG.

According to a directive from the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, domestic LPG supply will be immediately halted in areas where City Gas Distribution companies have already installed PNG meters. This decision follows a high-level review meeting chaired by the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, aimed at shifting domestic consumers to PNG infrastructure where available.
