Haryana defers implementation of key Building Code reforms until digital systems are ready, existing occupancy certificate process to continue

Panchkula, June 28 -- The Haryana Government has decided to defer the implementation of several key reforms introduced through the December 8, 2025 amendments to the Haryana Building Code, 2017, clarifying that the new provisions will come into force only after the required digital infrastructure, regulatory framework and administrative mechanisms are fully operational. Until then, all building approvals and Occupancy Certificates across the state will continue to be governed by the existing provisions of the Haryana Building Code.
