Panchkula, July 19 -- In a significant urban planning decision, the Haryana Government has declared a large area surrounding Gharaunda in Karnal district as an Urban Area under the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975, bringing the notified region within the ambit of the State's statutory planning framework for future development.
The notification, issued by the Town and Country Planning Department and published in the Haryana Government Gazette, states that the Governor has formed the opinion that the specified area has the potential for building activities.
