Chandigarh, July 28 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini hailed the Murrah buffalo as the heart and soul of Haryana, unveiling a sweeping vision to grow the state's cooperative dairy sector.
The plan promises to boost milk infrastructure, ramp up processing capacity, and open new markets, with women-led Self-Help Groups (SHGs) at the forefront of rural transformation.
At a review meeting of cooperative federations, the Chief Minister emphasised that the cooperative system would provide a new lead to the revolution in Haryana. He directed officials to increase milk production by supporting women in Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) to establish dairy units within the cooperative system.
