Chandigarh, April 8 -- In a significant move aimed at labour welfare and youth employment, the Haryana Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, on Wednesday approved six major agendas. The most notable decisions include a substantial 35 per cent increase in the minimum wage for labourers and a doubling of the horizontal reservation for Agniveers in specific state government roles.

The meeting also saw the presence of Cabinet Minister Anil Vij, who attended the session using a walker, marking his return to official duties following a lengthy recovery from leg fractures.
