Panchkula, Nov. 2 -- The Haryana Assembly will hold a special session on Constitution Day, Speaker Harvinder Kalyan said on Monday, outlining plans for youth parliaments, training workshops and programmes to promote public awareness of constitutional values.
Kalyan was addressing a conference of serving and former legislators inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in Panchkula. The Jan Pratinidhi Sammelan marked the beginning of the Haryana Assembly's Constitution Fortnight programme.
"A special session of the Haryana Assembly will be organised on Constitution Day. We had announced this in the House earlier, and members had expressed their agreement," Kalyan said.
