Panchkula, Aug. 27 -- Mining companies operating in and around Bayal village of Nangal Chaudhary Assembly constituency reported spending Rs 4.92 crore under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities over the last five years, while another Rs 22.04 lakh was allocated under the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) for development works in the village, according to details placed before the Haryana Vidhan Sabha.
The figures were furnished in response to an unstarred question raised by MLA Manju Choudhary, who sought year-wise and work-wise details of development works undertaken in Bayal using DMF and mining companies' CSR funds, as well as details of works that were not executed on the ground.
