Panchkula, Sept. 12 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has approved a major road infrastructure plan involving ring roads, bypasses and national highway links outside cities and towns with a population of more than one lakh, with the projects expected to cost around Rs 9,700 crore.
The approvals include bypass projects in Hisar, Kurukshetra, Narnaul and Jind, besides the redesign and reconstruction of the Sohna-Palwal bypass, as part of efforts to ease traffic congestion in urban areas located along national highways.
The decisions were taken at a meeting chaired by Saini to finalise the financial model for the state's contribution towards projects aimed at decongesting cities and towns along national highways.
