Panchkula, Aug. 24 -- Haryana Police have challaned 982 drivers for drunk driving and impounded eight vehicles in Gurugram during a 22-day special drive against motorists driving under the influence of alcohol, a police spokesperson said today.
The Haryana Police spokesperson said the Gurugram Traffic Police conducted the special drive from August 1 to August 22 to curb drunk driving and ensure compliance with traffic rules.
For the drive, different traffic police teams were formed and deployed at designated locations with specific instructions.
