Panchkula, July 17 -- Haryana Traffic Police has impounded a motorcycle after discovering 104 pending traffic challans carrying a cumulative penalty of Rs 3.44 lakh, in one of the highest numbers of unpaid challans detected on a single vehicle in Gurugram.
According to a Haryana Police spokesperson, the action was taken as part of an ongoing special enforcement drive against habitual traffic offenders and vehicle owners who have failed to clear long-pending challans issued under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
The spokesperson said that on Friday, ASI Krishan Kumar, Zonal Officer, Medanta, along with his team, was conducting a routine vehicle checking drive when they stopped a motorcycle for inspection. The rider failed to produce any of th...
