Panchkula, June 21 -- In a major push towards preventive healthcare and early cancer detection, union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal today launched seven AI-enabled mobile breast cancer screening units in Haryana, aiming to take advanced diagnostic services directly to women in villages and underserved regions.
Flagging off the specially equipped ambulances from Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College, Karnal, the union Minister said the initiative under the Namo Shakti Breast Cancer Screening Mission has the potential to transform women's healthcare by ensuring timely diagnosis of one of the country's most common and deadliest cancers.
