Panchkula, Oct. 3 -- Nissing Police have arrested a man for allegedly manufacturing illicit liquor in Karnal district and seized 60 litres of lahan, a fermented mixture used for making country liquor, a police official said today.
The Haryana Police official said a team from Nissing police station acted on a tip-off and conducted a raid at Chakda village, where the accused was allegedly found preparing illicit liquor.
The accused has been identified as Puran Singh, son of Kartar Singh and a resident of Chakda village in Karnal district.
Police said Head Constable Wazir and his team apprehended the accused and recovered 60 litres of lahan and other material, allegedly being used for preparing illicit liquor, from his possession.
