Panchkula, June 22 -- The Haryana government's Irrigation and Water Resources Department has commenced construction of a new bridge on the Rampuri Distributary near village Unhani, prompting the temporary closure of a section of the Mahendragarh-Rewari Road (State Highway-24) until October 30, 2026.
Confirming the development, an official spokesperson said Deputy Commissioner Anupama Anjali has issued orders for the temporary closure of the highway stretch to facilitate the bridge construction work and ensure public safety. The spokesperson said elaborate traffic diversion arrangements have been put in place to minimize inconvenience to commuters and maintain smooth traffic flow during the construction period.
