Gurugram, Oct. 3 -- The Indian National Trade union Congress (INTUC) today sought changes to provisions of India's four Labour Codes, including a lower threshold for standing orders and a review of restrictions on strikes, as Congress leaders accused the central government of weakening safeguards for workers and trade unions.

The demands were raised at a meeting of the Haryana INTUC state executive in Gurugram, attended by AICC Haryana in-charge Sanjay Dutt, Haryana Congress president Rao Narendra Singh, state INTUC president Amit Yadav and representatives of various trade unions.
