Karnal, Nov. 3 -- The Karnal district administration has imposed a two-day ban on drone operations around venues scheduled to be visited by union Home Minister Amit Shah on November 5, citing security concerns.
District Magistrate Dr Anand Kumar Sharma has issued prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, declaring areas within a 500-metre radius of the Home Minister's programme venues temporary red zones for November 4 and 5.
According to the order, the operation of drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will be prohibited within a one-kilometre radius of each venue during the two-day period.
