Chandigarh, July 3 -- Seeking to transform the International Gita Mahotsav into a powerful instrument of cultural diplomacy, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today said the recently concluded International Gita Mahotsav in Japan has opened a new chapter in India-Japan relations and will significantly strengthen cultural and academic cooperation between the two nations.
Reviewing the detailed report of the seventh International Gita Mahotsav held in Japan, the Chief Minister directed officials to extend a special invitation to a Japanese delegation for the International Gita Mahotsav to be held in Kurukshetra and take concrete steps to institutionalise cultural and educational exchanges between India and Japan.
