Chandigarh, July 10 -- In a major step towards strengthening interstate public transport connectivity, the Haryana and Bihar governments on Friday signed a bilateral agreement to launch regular inter-state bus services between the two states.
The initiative is aimed at providing passengers with a safe, affordable and comfortable mode of travel while improving connectivity between Haryana's industrial hubs and Bihar's major regions.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Haryana Government by Additional Chief Secretary, Transport, Raja Sekhar Vundru, while Arif Ahsan, State Transport Commissioner, signed on behalf of the Bihar Government.
